If you’ve been looking to incorporate more plant based foods into your diet, well, let me introduce you to Charley St. They’re making a CPG product that tastes just like the real thing, so you can have “bolognese” or “chorizo” that don’t contain any meat. As someone who, as a child, did eat meat, I will say that these taste like the real deal- you get all the flavor with a great texture and zero meat! While Dan is a professional chef, he really makes cooking fun and easy making use of what you have and preparing it in a thoughtful and healthy(ish) way.
The mac and cheese dish we made was not only easy, but was totally plant based (ps, plant based doesn’t equal vegan, although you could easily make this dish vegan by swapping out a few ingredients), and super delicious! It also proves that you don’t need extra fancy cooking gear to create a successful dish that can feed an entire family.
