Wowfulls at Governors Ball

In this episode we're visiting David Chan and Yiming Hui at Wowfulls, at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, to try their Hong Kong Style Egg Waffle Unicorn Creation.
"Our mission is to create authentic 1950’s-style Hong Kong egg waffles, bringing this popular Hong Kong street food to the streets of New York City. The taste and texture of our waffles (Gai Dàn Jai) are crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. We want to share what we love eating as kids to the broader audience outside of the Asian community." -Wowfulls

Wowfulls is no stranger to festivals and markets. They started that way and totally understand all of the hard work it takes to operate in those conditions (especially having a meltable product in the summer). From many feet away, you can start to smell the fresh waffle cones baking, and once you step up to their booth, you’re able to see the magic of them cooking. With their unique shape, but very common and traditional in Hong Kong, these egg waffle cones are not only delicious, but act as a cone comforter wrapping itself around ice cream. We got to make and try their Unicorn Cone, a pastel multicolored vanilla ice cream topped with crushed Oreos, chocolate sauce, strawberry pocky sticks, in their signature egg waffle cone. They offer different flavors too, at some of their locations, along with a variety of ice cream flavors and fun toppings. David and Yiming take their ice cream cone game seriously, and have all the kindness and hospitality to back it up!
