What Brownies Are Gluten Free?
In my series of brownie questions, one of the top questions was, “What Brownies Are Gluten Free?”.
When it comes to gluten-free brownies, it all boils down to the ingredients. My biggest recommendation is using a Gluten-Free Flour Blend: These mimic traditional flour without the gluten, making them a straightforward swap. There are different brands out there, or recipes online to make your own blend! You’ll have to find which works best for you (I have good results with Bob’s Red Mill 1:1).
You could also make flourless brownies which just use eggs, butter, chocolate, and sugar as the base and skip flour altogether, delivering a rich, fudgy texture.It’s basically a flourless cake, so, not 100% the same as a brownie, but, definitely gluten free and chocolatey.
Just make sure other ingredients (like chocolate chips) are certified gluten-free, as cross-contamination can happen, and important to avoid if you have an allergy.
