What Cookies Should I Make? Try These!

In my series of cookie questions, another one of the top questions was, “What Cookies Should I Make?”.

If cookies aren’t your forte, I’d suggest starting with an easy recipe! What’s considered “easy” is a bit subjective. However, what I find makes a cookie easy to make is it not having lots of ingredients, no dough chilling time, and not worrying about the cookies spreading too much!

So, while I can’t definitely say what the easiest is, I’d recommend a thumbprint cookie. With these, you don’t have to worry about any of the issues I mentioned, and, you can customize the filling! This is my Savory Spicy Mango Chutney Thumbprint Cookie recipe, but, you can easily swap out the mango chutney for your favorite jam, a chocolate kiss, or, leave out the thumbprint altogether and top with some sprinkles.

Once you start with something simple, you can build up your confidence and start tackling more advanced cookies!
