Can Brownies Be Frozen?
In my series of brownie questions, one of the top questions was, “Can Brownies Be Frozen?”.
Absolutely, brownies can be frozen, when you don’t think you’ll be able to finish them within a few days, or, you strategically making them to freeze for on-the-fly individual consumption.
To freeze them, make sure they’re completely cooled first, if you’re freezing them straight away. You can cut them into individual squares first, so you have your portions ready. Wrap them up tightly in cling wrap, then toss them into a freezer-safe bag (for best results compress all the air out) or airtight container. This double layer helps keep freezer burn from ruining your brownie dreams. If you want an extra layer of protections, each piece can be wrapped in parchment paper before being wrapped in cling wrap.
When you’re ready to eat, let them thaw at room temperature (or pop them in the microwave for 15-30 seconds, if patience isn’t your thing).
