Can Brownies Be Left Out?
In my series of brownie questions, one of the top questions was, “Can Brownies Be Left Out?”.
Yes, brownies can be left out, at least for a little while. Their high sugar and fat content act as natural preservatives, so they’ll stay delicious and safe to eat at room temperature for about 2-3 days. Just make sure to store them in an airtight container to keep them from drying out or absorbing weird fridge or counter smells.
If you’ve got a batch that lasts longer than three days (impressive restraint), you might want to pop them in the fridge to extend their shelf life. But honestly, if brownies are hanging around that long, are they even being appreciated properly?
